Amy's a funny, smart, creative lady with a strong handle

When
we were finding a home in Seattle, our
situation
was difficult - we were in Brooklyn, NY and eagerly searching for homes
in Seattle on the web. Other realtors said, "We're glad to help
when you come to Seattle to look." Amy was able to help us narrow
our search while we were still in Brooklyn.
When we came to Seattle to see homes, she really maximized our search
time, showing us only homes that were real possibilities. Looking at
houses and neighborhoods with her was a fun, relaxed experience, despite
our limited time frame (we only had a weekend to see houses.)
When we found the perfect
house, (and we did find the absolute perfect house), she knew that we
needed to make our offer and have the house inspected quickly and she
single-handedly made it happen. She held our hands while we gritted our
teeth and waited for the sellers response. It was definitely like
working with a good, supportive friend rather than a realtor.
When we had to close
long-distance, she did everything to make it happen smoothly. She kept
in close contact even though we were traveling cross-country.
Amy Queen was a joy to work
with, faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap times zones in a
single bound. She's a funny, smart, creative lady with a strong handle
on the real estate market in Seattle. I'm not only glad to have worked
with her finding our home, but I'm also glad to have her as a friend.”

Dear
Amy,
I
thought I would drop you a note about what a great transaction we had
with you. I was at a dinner party the other night and we started talking
about how difficult and expensive buying the right house in Seattle can
be right now.
Well,
I wanted to let you know that our experience was so much different and
better than our friends that I wanted to write you and say “Thank
you” for helping us find the perfect house at the perfect price. I
think the big difference was that even though we made a few low offers
you stuck with us. I think the way you took an interest and not a
position regarding our offers made the right house at the right
price happen. I think you and I were both genuinely surprised and
delighted when all of your hard work came together. Now after a year the
great house you helped us purchase is worth $100k more than we paid!
Thanks for sticking with us.

Amy
was exactly what we were looking for in a realtor. We were hunting for
our
first home and were intimidated by some of the realtors that we met. Amy
approaches
her job without pretension and with the spirit of fun and excitement
that a first home buy is all about. Of course she was professional
and well-informed, and she knew the neighborhood listings very well,
but her sense of humor and honest interest in helping us find the
perfect
first house for our needs was what impressed us most. What's more,
not
only did we get a great house at the right price, but we gained a fun
new
friend! Thanks Amy!

Once upon a time my husband
and I rented a magical dump called the Green House. For 14 years
we enjoyed the convenience of easy access to our kids' schools, our
jobs, downtown, the U district and I-5. We hunkered down in the
little spot of feral jungle in the middle of urban blight. We
relished the ravishing beauty of sunsets and sailboats over Lake Union.
We didn't much enjoy getting burgled numerous times, or having to do the
laundry in the shed, or lots of other stuff, but... moving on.
Progress marched on and doomed our little spot of heaven/denial.
We had to move, and fast, and didn't want to rent again.
I was working out of town for the summer. Steve was working with a
friend who is a realtor, who sent him listings and "kept in
touch." Steve scoured the city and beyond, but was frantic
when I returned. I called Amy.
Amy called us with listings at the crack of dawn, virtually as they
appeared. She drove us to many sites the same morning, giving us
continuous positive affirmations about the good qualities of them all.
She had already researched the neighborhoods, schools, and nearby
shopping. The market in Seattle was moving so fast and she was
right on top of it.
One day Steve's original agent sent him an e-mail about a house in
Shoreline. He drove right up and peered in the windows, climbed
the back porch and [walked] the [yard] perimeter. She spent a day helping us out of the old house.
She was in and out constantly during the the 6 months it took us to get
the house up to code before we could move in, giving us encouragement,
praise and realistic advice. Our house is now very much our home.
Thanks, Amy! |
