I have been in the
real estate business since 1999, and earned “Rookie of the Year”
in 2000. I work for Mike Skahen, broker of Lake & Co. Real Estate Inc.
on the north shore of Green Lake. I am committed to continuing
education, and am a certified ePro Realtor Internet specialist, a WSU
Cooperative Extension Master Gardener, and an Accredited Staging
Professional; among
other interests. I use all of these skills to provide the best service to
new and existing clients.
I have also been featured in Fine Living Television & Home and Garden
Television in the series "What you Get for the Money." My interest in Real Estate is grounded in a love of Northwest
architecture and landscapes, from many eras. My husband Russ & I restored a Beach
Drive 1906 Craftsman that, nearing completion, was included
in the West Seattle Historic Home Tour. We currently live in a 1965
Brady Bunch house in North Beach.
I was born and raised in the Seattle area, Bellevue/Enatai
specifically. By the time I grew
up, I found the urban life suited me better, and have lived
in homes in many different Seattle neighborhoods; including
(chronologically): Ravenna, Wallingford, Queen Anne, Beacon Hill,
Seaview/Beach Drive (both West Seattle), and currently North Beach with Russ and children Miles (b. 1992) and Ellen (b. 1991).
Prior to becoming a Realtor, I was a graphic artist for 13 years in
the high-tech industry; working for such notables as Aldus (now
Adobe), WRQ, and Active Voice (now Cisco Systems). Many of the
projects I worked on received international recognition from the
Society for Technical Communications. I graduated with a B.S.
(pre-med) in English from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon;
where I was frequently on the Dean’s List for earning semester 4.0
GPA’s.
